Simple fix after all  Like 70% of all electronic equipment faults -- Bad contact or broken wire --
 Solution:
The 2x ethernet ports, 2x usb and com1 ports are on a separate board (IO Board). This board is connected to the main board via an extension printed circuit board.
Remove the IO Board (3 screws) and extension board.
Use a little contact cleaner (non greasy) on the connectors on the main board and IO Board. A re-seating of the the little extension board would probably have solved it too.
It's now been working for 24hr and tested with reboot, power cycle, different switch port, jumbo frames on/off, teaming on/off and all OK.
Will leave on test for another 24hr before I cancel the RMA.
Cheers.
