external USB drive not detected

Hi,   Finaly my ReadyNAS is woking! but i have a series problem and need help please   I have attached my two external WD USB devices to the USB 3.0 ports (each 2 TB), and they are both password ...

We don't support encrypted/password protected USB disks.

just unplug the external usb drives and lock them in a fire proof safe

 

physical protection a lot better than software password protection. lol

    The best solution is to use the NAS as intended - with two internal drives, ideally using xraid.  That volume can be encrypted.
