Fastest way to migrate DUO RND 2150?
My ReadyNAS DUO RND 2150 is RAID 1 and more than 3 years old. I'd like to create a separate backup and keep it offsite. Is there any easy way to 'duplicate' all its contents by migrating one disk to...

The NV+ V1 is also compatible. Though if you want to back up to another NAS, you should probably look at the ultra/pro or V2 platforms. The disks are not compatible, but the platforms are much faster.
If you simply want to create a backup though, the fastest way to get 500 GBs copied is to do the backup over a gigabit ethernet connection to a PC. Transferring over the network to a USB 3.0 or eSata drive on the PC will give you ~25 MB/s throughput, and would take about 6 hours for 500 GB. You could update it using incremental copies (look into Robocopy).
