First time using Netgear readynas v+

Well, I work for and IT Company and we are Implementing the backup hardware readynas v+ to other company, and my boss told me to master eveything that need to be Know about it, i had been able with some google help to configure the machine its seem nice, the Only thing which is annoying is the trasfer rate when ever i create the very first backup Job on a machine before it can backup the whole c or d its take a lots of time, to b backup the whole dam thing is there any solution about it?
