Format hard drive from Readynas DUO so it can be used as USB
Hi.
I have a problem that I cannot solve. Recently I wanted to use my 2 x 1 TB Seagate hard drives from my Readynas DUO as USB-hard drives. I found the right enclosure for them and connected them to my PC. However, I cannoct acces them via USB. It seems that there must be some kind of firmware/ software on them attached by the Readynas. My PC does actually see the two hard drives - as hard ware - but I cannot acces them nor the files on them.
So my question is: How do I format the hard drives so I can use them as USB-hard drives?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Christian

- VoltsAspirantWhen you say "see" it see's them in My Computer???
What does Disk Management say about them - You format the hard drives on the PC via disk management (right-click on computer, and select "manage").
