Issues Mounting USB drives on RN516 with 6.2.0, 6.2.1, 6.2.2

The USB disks are externally powered. I don't seem to experience the problem with the front port but I've reserved that for the UPS since the disks are USB 3.0. The disks are Seagate ST4000DM000 and WDC WD40EZRX. I've had intermittent problems with these and other disks since purchasing the nas 6 months ago but they essentially disappeared for a few months until coming back recently.
I've upgraded firmware on the disks, made sure sleep is not enabled, done full checks on both external disks using manufacturer software on Windows machine (10+ hours each). Disks are EXT4 formatted and I reformatted them with OS6 after replacing them once I finished my checks.
