Max Memory in 316?

Anyone have any idea how much memory you can put in a 316? I have heard someone is running with a 4GB, any idea if an 8GB card would work?

  • I'd also be curious... If I recall correctly looking into the specs the intel atom processor in it only can handle a max of 4GB sticks and if there's only one slot then you'd be stuck at 4.

I'd be curious if anyone else could chime in on this. I'm about to pull the trigger on a new unit and would love to know what I can do.

The 516 can take up to 16GB RAM (2 x 8GB). Another advantage of the 516 is that it uses ECC RAM.

With the 300 series you have a single memory slot and are limited to 4GB.

Note we don't support RAM upgrades. Be sure to run at least a few passes of the memory test before trusting the memory. Note that even if it passes it might not be compatible.
