My Ready NAS Duo will not go into the reset mode.
I have followed the instructions and the NAS RND2110-100NAS will not go into the
Boot menu. All I get is the power button light flashing. Do I have a bad board, or it it operator error? I have tried what the manual says to do and watched what little is on YouTube with out to much help.

What problem did you encounter that led to you wanting to use the boot menu?
This is a Duo v1. Did you look at the manual for the Duo v1? - BrianL2NETGEAR Employee Retired
Hi WesleyB,
Welcome to the community!
Did you try this procedure with hard drive/s installed? If yes, how many? I also suggest that you put healthy or fresh hard drive/s that is listed in our HCL.
Kind regards,
BrianL
NETGEAR Community TeamI'm having a similar issue. I had to run a reset since the unit is non-responsive. I've tried reseating the memory.
Now after trying to reset I get the disk 1 LED flashing twice slowly, then the power, ACT and disk 1 LED all flashing together three times quickly. Then repeat.
I've tried resettting but no go.
Any ideas?
- Retired_MemberTry use another browser. I have just tried it and the HCL displays properly for me.
FWIW, to recognize a Duo v1 from a v2:
The v1 is a SPARC unit running RAIDiator 4.1, with a blue and orange GUI. On the front, it's written ReadyNAS Duo. If you have a "v1v2" (version 1 hardware revision 2), the bottom sticker will say RND2000 v2, but it's still a Duo v1.
The v2 is an ARM unit running RAIDiator 5, with a black and grey GUI. On the front, it says ReadyNAS Duo v2. The bottom sticker will say RND2000-200EUS (the last three letters may change depending on the standard of power socket).
