Hello dakial,

I think combination of SSD and HDD would work if they have the same size. I haven't tried, though. You use XRAID (automatically RAID1 for 2-bay NAS) for creating volume, 2nd disk inserted mirrors the disk 1.

I don't see any performance advantage though, I think you'd need two SSHD or SSDs to see that.

Even with two SSDs for large file transfers you would find the gigabit ethernet connection is a bottleneck.

  Yes, I agree that the gain is for small file transfers and directory browsing.
