Netgear ReadyNAS NV+
I Was trying to access NAS (Raid 1 setup), drive went away from windows explorer. Manualy rebooted NAS, NAS won't start. The PSU went bad. Since this NAS is very old I'ld like to upgrade and move the data off my drives. Since Netgear is using linux (EXT3 filesystem) I decided to download both Ext2Fsd and Ext2Read to see which one could help me recover my data. Where Im lost is once I assine a drive letter (using to the EXT3 volume then try to access the content via Windows Explorer I get a bunch of random folders.

What folders are you seeing? I am guessing they are in the OS partition /etc, /lib, /usr, /var, etc).
The problem with accessing the data volume is that you also need the RAID tools (LVM). Try r-studio instead. https://www.r-studio.com/
You can download for free - if it works, you will need to purchase it to actually offload the data.
