New 4.1.8 (NV+ sparc) upgrade does not detect USB disks
I just upgraded my NV+ sparc with the latest 4.1.8 firmware. Now it will no longer find my attached USB disks that I use to backup my entire NAS. I have several disks hanging off a USB hub and have the USB hub plugged into one of the back USB ports. It used to recognize all my disks perfectly well, but with the upgrade it cannot find them. I tried plugging in the disks directly and tried the other USB port, no luck. Sometimes it kind of recognizes some of the disks but it does not detect any filesystem (the disks are a mixture of FAT32 and NTFS). This is a big problem for me since that is where I backup my NAS, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

- Try to downgrade to 4.1.7, if it will work then you have to contact support so that they can assist you further. Once you get a case #, please edit the subject of your post and add the case # at the end. Thanks.
- riovineAspirantI'm trying to find the old 4.1.7 firmware but cannot find it anywhere on the readynas download page, can you point me to it. Also, what is the procedure for downgrade, I've only done upgrades via the UI upgrade tab, thx.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou can do a local update as described in the Release Notes here: http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_4_1_7_Notes
The procedure for a downgrade is the same as the procedure for an upgrade.
Right-click on the link to the 4.1.7 image on that page and save the download.
