Well as a fellow ReadyNAS user, I could only guess, but I think it's highly unlikely the situation will change.
x86 ReadyNAS (e.g. Ultra, Pro) support 3TB drives. I would suggest getting one of these and transferring your data across your network to it (you can't migrate disks from Sparc to x86).
