I am almost a complete noob and could really use some advice interpreting the jargon. First off, what I want to do is set up a centralised storage that can wirelessly stream my media (videos/music)...
While the link speed is 54 megabits, the transfer rate ceiling is much less - around 24 megabits, or around 3 megabytes (MB)/sec. That of course is the fastest it will go, often it will be less.
