Yes - as I stated I tried a direct connection. Via a MAC and PC. Same issue.
If it still drops off doing the direct-connect then check to see if the NIC drivers in your PC are up to date.
Again it has happened with different hardware.
A 100Mbps network is slow.
I know. But so far that's the only speed that works. Using a attached USB drive backing up to or from the NV+ v2 (tried all three of the NV+ v2 USB ports) or direct connection the NV+ v2 crashes. Since it does in both situations it appears to be hunting ghosts looking beyond the NV+ v2 itself and or its drive.
