Obselete drives
I have a ReadyNAS NV+ containing 2 x Seagate Barracuda LP 5900 2TB 32MB cache Hard disks. I want to add 2 more drives but you cant buy these drives any more. I've looked at the hardware compatability list and the majority of the drives seem to be 64MB cache ... would this cause any problems as the spec isnt identical for all 4 drives? Also, are there any makes better than the others? The company bought it from last year have been absolutely no help - they clearly dont need the custom!
Thanks
Thanks

You can mix/match drives, keeping in mind that Netgear's support is limited if you stray from the HCL. The larger cache will not create any issues.waldekev wrote: I have a ReadyNAS NV+ containing 2 x Seagate Barracuda LP 5900 2TB 32MB cache Hard disks. It is important to ensure that the new drives are the same size (or larger) than the old ones. - waldekevAspirantOK - thats great. Thanks
