Official Hardware Compatibility List, Does it ever change?
Hi all,
I'm looking at adding another disk to my single disk ReadyNas Duo and am having troubles purchasing a seagate drive on the compatibility list.
It seems like the list is pretty old and hasn't been expanded to include newer products from manufacturers.
Does the list ever change?
Thanks

- evan2NETGEAR ExpertWe are testing Seagate new drive.
- shem1AspirantThanks for your reply.
I'm sure you can guess the next question :-)
........ Any idea when the results will be added to the list? (days, weeks, months is all I'm after) - evan2NETGEAR ExpertSeagate ST1000DM003 will be finish this week, ST2000DM001 and ST3000DM001 need some weeks, we need to test on all ReadyNAS model.
- PapaBear1ApprenticeAll three are on the list for the NVX, only the ST3000DM001 is on the list for the NV+ V2 and Duo V2. So the testing is progressing.
- NetDeltaAspirantWe really need more 3TB options for the Ultra 2 Plus.
I see that ST3000DM001 is in the works, but even here I can't see where it has Rotational Vibration Safeguard, which NetGear recommends.
Of the 5 listed as compatible, 3 are either discontinued or at minimum superseded (by the ST3000DM001). The ones that are available are barely available at that.
thanks.
