Password & reset

Hi

Hoping someone can help!

I bought my RND2110 V1 about 10yrs ago & only used it once then forgot all about it, just found i again but cannot remember any of the details on setup.

I've managed to download Raidar V4.3.8 & run this & it has been detected on file explorer & the Raidar software but I can't remember any information to reset the system
I've tried the https password recovery but it's saying the some of the info is wrong (email & mothers maiden name) & won' let me get any further

Basically I'd like to delete everything off the drives & start again

I'm running PC with Windows 10 - any ideas anyone?

Thanks :)

You can reset the system to factory default by accessing the NAS boot menu. You may check this link for the steps on how to access the boot menu and then select the factory reset option.

Note that when you do so, the default password for your older NAS is netgear1, unless the firmware is really old, in which case it's infrant1.  References you see to the password being "password" are for newer models.  Note, too, that it can only use SMB1, which is disabled by default in current Win10.  You have to enable it in the :Turn Windows features on and off" section of Win10 preferences.  Before you go beyond the reset, you should update the firmware to the latest.

  • Great stuff - thanks to both!
I think it's all sorted now - will try to set it up tomorrow
Many thanks to both of you :)
