Power cut to Duo, now unable to access
My ReadyNas Duo v1 experienced a loss of power a few days ago and after rebooting it I am unable to access it or detect it in RAIDar. When the device powers up the blue power indicator blinks, act flashes briefly then disk 2's led blinks repeatedly while disk 1's remains off.
What I've tried:
Turned off the NAS, held down the reset button, restored power while continuing to hold the reset button for approx 30s. I then left the NAS overnight. During this time, disk 1 & 2 leds flashed for a while (blue power still flashing) before returning to just disk 2's led flashing.
Any suggestions would be very helpful, my primary goal is the recovery of some crucial data that is on the NAS.
Edit: The drives are 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 STX-720011 (B) if that helps.
Cheers
Matt

- What you tried was a factory reset. If you succeeded, you have already lost your data. Hopefully you failed.
If you have a Windows PC (and can connect drive 1 via SATA or a USB adapter) you can try linux reader (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/) - MajorMattAspirantI think I may have succeeded.
I tried the NAS with one drive in and got in to FrontView, it reported the drive as dead and with no data on it. The other drive doesn't let me access it at all.
Will I have a chance of recovering some data with the Seagate data recovery software? - You'd need data recovery software that includes linux file sytems (ext in this case). Odds would also be low.
Did you try connecting disk 1 do a windows system and using linux reader?
