Power Outage --- Now S.O.S. Blinking Lights (ReadyNasDUO)
Hello, all..
Suffered a power outage.
Since then, ReadyNasDUO boots up with these symptoms:
Can not access the drive.
Failed Remedies:
1. "Soft Reset" - hold paperclip in back for about 5 seconds during start up
Potentially Stupid Precaution I took:
1. Removed one of the drives in case it was erasing all my data. It had a strong magnetic field about it when I took it out of the NAS. Felt like it was waving around in my hand.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThat error is corrupt root. Perhaps something on the OS partition got corrupted and unfortunately the OS Re-install did not fix the issue.
Contact support (see Online Submission link in my sig) and post your case number. - TheCHIMP_netAspirantI just got some reply from an email that said "You aren't in warranty in anymore."
Wah Wah Wah...just trying to solve this problem.
Any help?
It wasn't a magnetic field you felt. The platter was still spinning, so it was acting as gyroscope or flywheel - resisting your attempts to change its orientation.TheCHIMP.net wrote: ...It had a strong magnetic field about it when I took it out of the NAS. Anyway, if you have a backup you can delete the partitions on both disks on a Windows system, and reinsert them. The NAS should then do a factory reset. If you don't have a backup, try using Linux Reader to access disk 1 (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/)
