printer not found

When I attach an usb printer to a Readynas Duo I expect to find the printer in the frontview menu under printers.
I don't see one. What can I do to check what is wrong. I installed the enable root addon. lspci shows 3 usb that seem to work.
lsusb is not present.

A tail from the messages file shows this:

Here I disconnect the printer from the back and put the plug in the front usb plug.
But still no queue in the printers menu in frontview.

Can anybody help?

I reinstalled the software and the printer shows up now in frontview. The errorlog and messages show the same messages as above incl the message "no modules for USB product.

To say it short: I don't know what caused the fault, I don't know why it was cured!
