Pro6 Fan Issue

Hi There!

My Pro6 seems to have developed a problem with the fan, where every few minutes it will power up and power down almost incessantly. I am not sure how to start diagnosing the issue, but I am wondering if it's a known problem with a known solution. Sadly the unit is outside of it's warranty.

I am not sure if it's overheating but with it's frequency I'd imagine not.

Any help appreciated.

    The Pro Business Edition and Pro 6 have five year warranties

    The Pro Pioneer Edition and Ultra 6 Plus have three year warranties.

    Are you sure that it is out of warranty?
  • Thanks, this was an ex-demo unit and doesn't have a warranty any longer. I am hoping it might be a known issue with a known solution I can try and fix myself, or work around.

    Open up the case and clean out the dust. You probably need to replace the fan. Should be able to get one with the right specs fairly cheaply.
