ReadyNAS 312 Set up w/ 2 x 4TB WD RED
Hi everyone,
First post to the forum. I'm having issues setting up a 2nd ReadyNAS 312. The first I set up in the usual way with 2 x WD 4TB Red drives. All works perfectly. 2nd one has arrived (for set up) and then moving to another office.
Exactly the same 2 drives. Yet when install and power on, 1 & 2 are lit but the power button flashes over and over (has now been 24 hrs).
Am I doing something daft? Have tried the usual 'hold backup for 5 secs' to try and discover, but still nothing.
Appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you :)
Hello
In the link I gave you a procedure to call the boot menu.
Select Factory Default in this boot menu.
The option will "remove" the drive, erase all data and prepare the disks to boot the operating system.
You can also try installing a system with another drive (to verify that the server is working properly).
You can also try to "put" these new disks into the server, where everything is ok (to verify if these disks are ok).
There is a new software version for our ReadyNASOS-6.7.2-x86_64
Good luck

How do you install disks?
Use the RAIDar program.
Disks should be recognized by the server - does the server recognize these disks?
Here you have additional info:

Thank you for reply :)
Yes as mentioned, 2 disks are installed (2 x WD 4TB Red)
Disks are recognised as they're exactly the same as the 2 in my identical ReadyNAS 312 (so I know they should all work together)
Have tried RAIDar, but only exisiting NAS shows (not the new one).
