ReadyNAS 316 Factory Drives and Warranty
What are the factory drives in an RN31662D? Is the warranty 5 years on the factory installed drives as well? Who provides the warranty for the drives (Netgear or the manufacturer of the drives)?...
Standard warranty for the hard drive. Can RMA pre-installed drives via NetGear, I think. D indicates desktop drives not Enterprise so the warranty on the disks would be less than 5 years. The disks included are from the compatibility list but the model chosen may vary over time depending on various factors such as availability.
