ReadyNAS 4200 - can't access Boot Menu
Recently acquired a ReadyNAS 4200. I believe it's version 1. 12 bay SATA connections. It wouldn't boot when turning it on. I would just get a blank black screen w/ blinking cursor. I've read to us...

After just trial and failure I decided to see what was on the internal flash drive and it was blank.
If the internal flash drive arrived blank one wonders if the previous owner wiped it (pretty pointless as there's no personal info on the internal USB).

I'm kinda guessing that it's blank. I tried viewing the flash drive in my windows machine and there was nothing there. I also tried viewing through software that can view linux files, thinking that maybe that was the reason that I couldn't view on windows, and there was nothing. But I will say, now that I've put that flash drive back in the internal USB port, it just boots back to a blinking cursor.
I just find it odd that I can't access the boot menu, by holding down the reset button. I never see the bottom lights illuminate.

Do you have at least one drive installed? I'm not sure if you can get to the boot menu without one.
Can you get to the BIOS menu? That would help verify that the hardware is working correctly.
