READYNAS 424
Hi,
MY READYNAS 424 ALWAYS HAS PROBLEM WITH BACKUP WHERE IT GOT HANG UP. I CANNOT LOCATE ANY ISSUES AS THERE HAS BEEN NO LOG CREATED. ANY ADVICE ON WHY BACKUP JOB CANNOT GET COMPLETE ?

Does the job start at all?
Have you tried downloading the log zip file and looking there?
Is the destination on your local network?
Might be helpful if you post the details of the backup job (perhaps a few screenshots).

Hi Stephen,
The job did start but showing in process after 6+ hours.
The destination is an external HDD and as the job is in process, there is no log file for examination

Can you see the external drive contents from the NAS admin interface? If you can't,then one option is to enable ssh, and use that to see what is going on.
You could also try downloading the full log zip, and looking for problems there.

How big is the drive, and about how much are you copying to it?
Also, what manufacturer/model?
