ReadyNAS 615 Disk Offline

Hi everyone, I have a ReadyNAS 615 (I know, its old, but been solid) and had a drive go bad recently. I purchased a new drive and checked the SMART info on it with Seatools to make sure I received a new one and it was operating correctly, and everything came back good. When I swapped it for the bad one, the NAS recognized it with no problem, but when I click on the drive, it shows that the Disk Status is Offline. Is this because RAID is writing to it, or is something else wrong? I don't have much experience with swapping disks so I wasn't sure if this is normal or not.

  • Are you using FlexRaid or XRAID?

    Are the files still accessible?

Is there any sign that the volume is resyncing?

Hi StephenB, this is actually my case I posted in the /netgear sub on Reddit.  I am not 100% sure which raid it is using.  When I view the disks under System | Storage, it shows Raid 5+0, x2.  Files are still accessible, but there doesnt seem to be anything saying the logs are syncing.  When I go into the volumes and look at the summary, it shows that the Health is Degraded, but I assume that is because there is a disk not online.  Below are the logs I see from when the old drive when bad until now:

        Is this a ReadyDATA 516 (RDD516)?

        Or a ReadyNAS 516 (RN51600)?
