ReadyNAS 628X Problems.
I started to encounter problems at the beginning of the week when advised that I had a degraded scenario. The problem was that in the main HD display I could not identify the 'yellow' drive (maybe bits of colour blindness etc). Suffice that the device still functioned (it was doing an internal update to add 2 additional drives (drives 7 & 8) into the stack) and I was able to access the Admin screens as well as the device shares for data handling.
Since then, the device seemed to go into inaccess state. I rebooted last night and this morning found it in a state of the HD blue lights on but no front LED display on the device (or the main front light). Also no Admin access to the web interface. I can do some data movements, but they are very slow.
Anyone else gone through such experiences and idea about resolution?

Which RAID level are you using?
It's best to add one disk at a time, not two (a bit late for that advice for this time, though).
There is disk health information in the logs zip that can be downloaded via the web admin interface (when it's accessible) or via RAIDar.
If you do suspect a bad disk it's best to get advice on that ASAP to determine the best way forward. Failure to do so, can lead to the problem getting worse.
It does sound like you should contact support.- BobFordAspirant
Thanks for the response.
Well there is a large amount of positive update although I confess to being still in an 'incomplete' position>
I managed this morning to get access (briefly) to the Admin function from where I was able to ascertain that the 8 drives had been integrtaed and the RAID level moved to RAID 6 (BTW does 47TB out of 84TB sound about right for the space available?). Also, all the drives were healthy.
The only problem is that I have at least one pc where I cannot access the NAS notwithstanding that I can access other NAS's (including Netgear) so uncertain what I may not have setup on the pc correctly configured for the 628X
Thanks
