- yodizeAspirantHello,
Was wondering if someone could tell me if the 1.5 tb version of the wd black caviar would be compatible with the easy nas duo? I see the 2 tb version on the list but not the 1.5.
Thank you,
Matt - BrutusjeAspirantHi,
Today I upgraded the memory in my NV+ running Raidiator 4.1.8
The module I use now is kinston valueram KTH-ZD7000/1G
PC-2700 (DDR-333) 2,5-3-3-7
Haven't done any benchmarking so can't give any of those figures, I can say it works without any problems. - typpeoAspirantCan anyone recommend a 2TB drive for the ReadNas Pro? Due to the harddrive shortage we have been having a hard time getting drives and almost all of the drives on the HCL list are out of stock or listed at crazy prices. Right now we have about 3 different drive types in 3 different units and I have several failures so I really need to replace drives.
Thanks! - AndrewL1963AspirantWell thats disappointing.

2 TB is the limit for V1 (sparc-based products).AndrewL1963 wrote: Have anyone had any luck with 3TB drives in the NV+ V1? Already using 4 x 1.5TB but space now at a premium. Over the last 6 years have gone from 750 to 1TB to 1.5TB so would like to save some time and money and jump straight to the 3TB. - AndrewL1963AspirantHave anyone had any luck with 3TB drives in the NV+ V1? Of course it also costs them money, since they don't add a new product to the list unless they have actually tested it. I imagine that for disk drives that is not a quick test.eton wrote: Pence1 wrote: http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=84
Netgear is losing thousands of dollars because of the very outdated Compatibility list like the one above,
Please update them or just dont make it available if inadequate or incomplete. :x
It could easily be millions of dollars.
Though I have wondered if revising their support polices would make things easier for everyone. In particular, listing disks that are known not to work, and provide best effort support for disks that are not listed on the "known bad" list. - etonLuminary

Especially hardrives, external drives, memory and UPS.
There is countless of new hardware out there and also a lot o sucsess stories in the forum from not officialy supported hardware. Why don't buy a bunch of new stuff and test in a lab.
I am interested in the new and clever Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 HDS5C3020ALA632 32MB 2TB - moderate speed and low noise. - AreTwoAspirant:( Hi - I'm another disappointed Duo v2 user. I bought it and WD 2tb HDD at same time, but HDD was W20EARX (sata 6gb) and it won't work. I'm stuck with drive now. BUT on the compatibility list is WD10EARX !!!! They appear to be identical in WD spec sheets except for size. Why does one work and the other does not? It sounds like very flakey drivers in the NAS, and as other people have said your NAS MUST be reliable storage - thats what its there for.
Due to Thailand floods Hard disk drive prices have doubled SO into the garage goes the "ReadyNAS Duo v2" and it will probably be MORE obsolete by the time I can afford to populate it with disks.
Not happy Jan
