A couple of questions -
1. Do you have a user id and password required to log onto your laptop?
2. When you set up the network on your laptop, did you select, home, work or public?
3. Do you have any passwords required on your ReadyNAS?
FWIW - I connect to my 3 ReadyNAS units from two desktops and a laptop all running Win7 HP 64bit.
