ReadyNas Duo and Windows 7 Problem

I've being thinking about the changes that have occurred inthe past couple of days to enable my laptop to now access the folders on the NAS drive. There are two things, firstly, I have updated the firmware on my ReadyNAS to 4.1.8. I can't imagine that had the effect. The other thing, is that I have only had my laptop for three weeks and it can pre-installed with Mcafee Internet Security. I removed this a couple of days ago and replaced it with AVG and ZoneAlarm. Since then I have been able to access the NAS as expected.
