[ReadyNas Duo] Static IP / DHCP Problem

Just today I have changed my ReadyNas Duo from a network with static Ip assigning for wired connections to a network where the IPs are assigned by DHCP.

Now, I am not able to see my netgear in the network.

How can I solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

  • Do you know what the current static IP number is?

    If not, can you reconnect to the old network, access Frontview on the Duo and change the setting to DHCP and then shut it down and move it?
  • It looks full of sense.

    I will try although it will take me a couple of days (I have to take it back to my old network which it's in another house). If anyone has other solution to apply directly without moving to my old network / house, it will be welcome.

  • Have you tried turning on the Duo and then opening RAIDar on a PC? RAIDar will find any NAS on the network regardless of the subnet and after the NAS has fully booted will report the fourth column (IP Address). If RAIDar does not find the Duo, then something else is wrong.

    In that case, connect the Duo directly to the NIC of a desktop and load RAIDar. RAIDar should find the Duo (if it is on, regardless of the subnet).

    If RAIDar does not find the Duo in that situation, check that the small lights at the NIC socket are on. They should be on for both the PC and the Duo.
  • A firmware reinstall will reset the NAS to obtain its' address via DHCP without changing your NAS setup (other than your admin password will also be reset)

    Then you can use RAIDar to connect
