ReadyNAS Duo wrong hard drive size deteced

Hi, for a client that owns a ReadyNAS Duo (Sprac 4.1.14) the hard drives are not detected well.
Installed are 2x WDC WD30EFRX-68EUZN0, these are 3 TB drives. But they are detected as two hard drives of 746 GB.

Are these drives not (fully) compatible or is there a way to fix the problem?

This is expected. There is a known compatibility issue. The maximum capacity drives that will work with the Duo v1 are 2TB drives.

For 3TB drives you need a newer NAS.
  • Ok thanks for the answer. Is there a way to expend the current capacity of the drives to the maximum of 2 TB?
  • You can get a higher volume if you put it on flex raid and select raid 0, there is no redundancy though.

    No
