ReadyNAS Duo
New here....just got this box and I'm trying to reset it so I can
1. get access to the web interface and update the firmware
2. reset it to default, so that it can show up on my network for access to the web pages
RAIDar, (RAIDar_Win_4_3_8) sees it but it has an IP I can't access, not on my network: "setup" and "Browse" on RAIDar are all greyd out.
I've downloaded RAIDiator-arm-V5.3.9 to install on it. Is this the latest firmware?
This looks like a cool box, based on what I've read here, can't wait to exhaust it features. Anyone with ideas, please share.
Many thanks!

Not only is that not picking up an I.P. address via DHCP from your network it's not detecting any disks.
Sounds like you might have a lemon. - nestaAspirant

Status update: now it's the "act" light that's flashing, like it's ready a disk. The LED glows in and out. And at extreme right it says: "Creating Volume." - nestaAspirant

We're all good this side; new IP, browse, setup, everything is good. Now I must ensure I install the right firmware. I'm not sure which to download from the link you sent earlier. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredRAIDiator 4.1.12
Though if you open Frontview, switch to Advanced Control and go to System > Update > Remote and click Check for Update the NAS will check for a firmware update and you can download it directly to the NAS. No need to browse for a download link.
Since this is a new setup after doing the firmware update (requires reboot) and verifying it completed successfully I would suggest doing another factory default via System > Update > Factory Default to get a clean setup on 4.1.12. - nestaAspirant

Thanks a lot.
I will do this.
It's currently updating from 4.10 to the latest, which perhaps it what you've listed here.

Thanks a lot. I'm loving this so much, I think I will buy another.
Say, what are the differences between mine and the V2?
