ReadyNas NV+ power supply failure
hi,
my 5 year old readynas NV+ power supply failed today. is it worth replacing the power supply or should i use this opportunity to upgrade to a ReadyNAS 104 diskless?
my current drives are 4 1TB Seagate7200.12
Can i just plug in the old drives into the new 104 chassis?
thanks

If you are ok with a little tinkering you can get an off-the-shelf supply and adapt the cable. That is pretty inexpensive. But personally I would replace it. The newer units are higher performance, and can handle larger drives.mann238 wrote: my 5 year old readynas NV+ power supply failed today. is it worth replacing the power supply or should i use this opportunity to upgrade to a ReadyNAS 104 diskless?
No. The platforms are not compatible.mann238 wrote: Can i just plug in the old drives into the new 104 chassis? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNo. The RAID format is different
