readynas os 6.2 Device Communication Error

I'm already out of my depth here.

 

The ReadyNAS has been discovered, but I can't get past this - Readycloud temporarily lost connection with your storage system. I've turned everything off and on again but no joy. Can anyone help?:

  • Go to System > Network and check the settings for your adapter. If it is set to static make sure the DNS server addresses have been specified. You could try adding an additional one e.g. 8.8.8.8

    Hi GasNas,

     

    Can you give me some information of the physical setup of your network? How do you have everything connected?

     

    Does the NAS have an accessible internet connection?

      Hi Alex - Thanks for the response.

       

      The Nas is plugged into my router and the blue power LED and the "Act" LED are both solid on the NAS.

       

      I've tried getting the readyCLOUD to connect on a Macbook Pro and a Windows 7 Laptop both and tried them both initially wireless and then wired into the router.  I've switched the cables over too in case one of them was faulty but i get to the same point in all four scenarios.  The NAS is recognised, but when you get to the next stage, no joy.

       

      Is that enough info to give you an idea?
