I just purchased the Ultra 6 plus with the E2160 CPU about 3 weeks ago. The first unit was DOA but was promptly replaced by Netgear (I have a service contract). At the time of purchase I had no idea I could even get a pro for around the same price so I looked into returning my device but they won't (reseller) take it back since its not the unit I purchased from them (its a replacement from Netgear).
So is it possible to just replace the E2160 with a E5300 since they have same socket? I am unsure if the motherboards, etc are the same for both the ultra 6 plus and pro. This would be ideal for me since I am now stuck with the ultra (I got the ultra plus because of plex server, and it can not transcode without freezing picture all the time).
Thanks
