Readynas RN 104 fails flashes when disks inserted
So today the drive stopped working and went into safe mode, I pushed the power button and it turned off but when it re-started it says there were no drives installed and had to connect with the defau...
It sounds like a power issue. The spin-up of the drives is overloading it. It could be the power brick itself (because the LED on it shouldn't ever flash) or one of the internal voltage regulators/converters, which are non-repairable.
Well I've just bought a 2nd hand 104 from CEX for £100 so fingers crossed!!
