replacing some of the disks inserted to ReadyNAS NV+
I have older ReadyNas NV+ model RND4000.
They came with 4x750 gig drives. I called Netgear and they said I could upgrade my drives to 2TB each and recommended the following number
Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB 7200RPM Sata 6gps 64mb cache
3.5-inch Internal Hard Drive mfr P/N ST32000641AS
So, I bought 5 of them. 4 to use, and 1 spare for replacement. Now that they have been replaced the unit won't recognise the new volume. I've a feeling I was misled and these units cannot handle the larger drives. does anybody know if they will? Or can someone recommend a case that will use the drives I just purchased. I don't want them to be a loss.
Thanks!

Hello irarosenstudio,
What does it show under Volume Settings?

The NV+ can handle 2 TB drives.
Likely your firmware is very old - what firmware are you running?

Thanks! I have whatever came installed in the unit. How do I go about updating firmware?

Start by posting the firmware you are running now. RAIDar can see it, and you can also see it on the home page of the admin web ui.
