ReadyNas stays on but not accessible
Hello All,
Trying to find some help.
This is my second ReadyNas, is a V2 this time (yes, blue USB's on the back)
Problem:
Mapped Hard drive not accessible
ReadyNas Raid does not find it
Smart Tv does not find it
I tried to turn it off by pressing twice and no luck, had to disconnect the electrical source.
Working as it should for 5 minutes and the same happened again but Nas seems fine, network on the back blinks and the front all normal.
Does anyone knows why is this happening? What is the solution?
Just for information, I have 2 2TB hard drives, removed them and placed a blank 360GB and gave me Corrupt Root, put the 2 back and went to the usual, work 5 minutes then disappears but stays on
I don't watch tv per say so now stuck with bbc iplayer and youtube.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAs this is still under warranty, perhaps you can submit a support request @ support.netgear.com
Often this is a full OS partition. You could also try an OS reinstall. That will reset the IP config to DHCP and the admin password to "password", but all other settings should be preserved.
Do you have a backup? - rikarduAspirantHi Stephen,
Yes, got it earlier this year and no, I do not have a backup although I "share" the drive with a mate, ie, I gave mine so he could copy what I had and the other way around.
I did not change any settings to be honest, i set the ip on the router itself.
How do reinstall the OS? just upload the the RAIDiator-arm-V5.3.7 into the NAS?
I already submitted with Netgear support, guess I was hoping for something more simple
Thanks for your help - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThe OS reinstall is from the hardware boot menu.
Page 16 and 17 from here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... Mar-12.pdf
also there's a description here: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... _boot_menu
It's early to have a full OS partition though. Do you have ReadyDLNA turned on? Other add-ons?
