Of course this is a very late reply...however...
'got 6xWD20EARX in my ULTRA 6, 18 months ago with no issues until recently : regular freezes when streaming (but speed is still very good up to 90MB/s)
The Load cycle count of the WD20EARX is above 750,000 !!!! :shock: and have now disabled the timer with 'wdidle3 /d' but the freezes remain. :?
I have thoroughly checked all other components involved (client, switch, cabling, software, firmware) and come to the conclusion that these disks are either incompatible or shot or both :cry:
1) I wonder if you finally used the WD20EARX inside the enclosure ?
2) I wonder if your WD20EARX has passed 300,000+ load cycles without issues ?
