I have an NV+ which is running the older WD20EARS without any problems, and a new PRO 6 which has one of the EARX 3 TB drives (couldn't find the older model). Both are working fine. "Green" drives have more than enough performance to stream 1080p MKV and BluRay (full BlueRay requires about 7 MB/second, you will get much higher speeds with the Ultra). You might be limited by your network, esp. if you use powerline or WifI. But not the disk drives.
