ReadyNAS Ultra 6 plus
Looking to purchase a ReadyNAS Ultra 6 Plus. Would like to load it with 4tb Hard Drives. Which drives are recommended? Will I be able to end up with 20TB once one drive is lost to the RAID? ...

Might I suggest a Pro6 if you are considering the Ultra6. The Pro6 has a faster processor, and while unsupported takes 8GB ram.
I have a Pro6 with 3x 3TB, and I am extremely happy.
I am not sure if it is against the forum rules to post prices, (and mod if it is, sorry), but you can get a Pro6 Shell for ~$800

(I've actually seen the Pro6 for $749)
and 6 3TB drives for around $1000, giving you dual redundancy and ~12TB of storage for under $2k.
