I received several units from Amazon and one of them smelled funny... something about the packing wasn't right. Either it had two stickers (one on top of another), no stickers, the unit's plastic wrap sticker wasn't sealed or whatnot. Everything looked great but after talking to Amazon they suggested I get it replaced just to be safe. The replacement was packaged identically so I'm guessing the assembly line varies at times. :) Amazon ships them in factory double boxes however my local Fry's sells them single boxed (I'm guessing to display the retail packaging).
