RN316 - Increase number of concurrent connections
Hello! We currently have a number of users remotely and connecting to our server via MountainDuck. While it's been great to have the server mounted as a volume directly instead of using an FTP connection, mutilple users accessing files at the same time has been an issue due to a number of concurrent connections bottleneck in the server settings. Switching to WebDAV to circumvent this doesn't seem to be an option either with the RN316, so it would be great if anyone can shed some light on how to proceed. Your help is greatly appreciated!

The proftpd package used in the ReadyNAS doesn't set maxclients, so as far as the NAS is concerned there is no connection limit.
Are you getting an error message (normally 530) that says you've hit the max number of connections, or are you just getting a connection failure?
How many passive ports have you set up in the NAS? How many are you forwarding in the router?
Generally I suggest 4 passive ports per simultaneous user, though I don't know if that would apply to MountainDuck or not.
If you are doing a lot of remote access, a VPN may be a better solution. I personally choose ZeroTier for that, but OpenVPN (especially if supported by your router) is another option. They work a little differently from each other, so which you choose depends a lot on your use case. And unlike MountainDuck, both of those options are free (with a limit of 50 users for ZeroTier).
