RN316 - won't resolve host name to update software

Sought to update my two RN316's today to latest operating system version.  I use 2 NAS' with one as the primary and the other as backup.  Began with the backup NAS and clicked to download the new software and then received the following message: "Cannot resolve host name.  Communication Error. Check internet connection, DNS settings or proxy settings"

 

I appreciate the suggestions of the community.

    Of course one option is to download the firmware to a PC and manually install it onto the NAS.

     

    Does the backup NAS use a static IP address?  If so, did you remember to configure a DNS server?  8.8.8.8 (google's public server) is a reasonable choice.
