I bought second hand NAS drive.
I would like to use it but there is HD with some files on.
I would like to wipe drive, reformat and use it for my files.
But system asking for login and password...

You want to do a factory reset using the rear reset pin (accessible with a paper clip). Make sure you REALLY have a V2, as there is some confusion as to the difference, since Netgear used "V2" in two separate ways. The V1 and V2 are slightly doifferent with regard to accomplishing this. A real V2 says V2 on the front, has a part number ending in -200NAS (or some other country-specific letters), and uses software version 5.x.
For a real V2, the instructions are here: How-do-I-access-the-boot-menu-on-my-ReadyNAS-Ultra-2-Ultra-2-Plus-or-Pro-2-Duo-v2. Fora V1, just Google it.
