rnd4000 readynas nv v1 third party OS
Does anyone know if there are any third party OSs That can be installed onto this NAS? I have found things like this for old Netgear routers, so I thought that someone might have done something similar for the NAS. With no more support it seems like having other options might be good. Mine still works but I had to hook up a computer power supply because the original one died.
Also, can I install the software that allows me to access the NAS setting on Windows 10 pro. I built a new PC and no longer have the original one I used to when I first got the NAS?
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Paul, aka pefinaz

If you mean Frontview, then look here:

Given the ancient SPARC processor in that NAS, you aren't going to find anything up to date that can be installed.

Is Frontview the same as RAIDar?
Is there a certain version of RAIDar/Frontview that I need to install for my RND4000?
Do you know where I get a version of RAIDar/Frontview that works on Windows 10 pro?
Is there any documentation for installing and using RAIDar/Frontview?
Thanks

No, FrontView is the built-in GUI, at https://<IP or name of ReadyNAS>/admin. RAIDar isn't even needed at all, though it is helpful in accessing FrontView from it's buttons and getting a quick lok at status.
