RNDU4000 bricked?
Hi
I bought a used Readynas RNDU4000 and i tried to upgrade the FW to 6.
Seems that something might have gone wrong and i can't figure out if it's possible to get it right again.
When i try to start it up i just get "do_exit+4aa" OS reinstall and such doesn't work either.
Since i'm not able to get any support for it i tought i would check here if it's possible to get it running again or it's a lost cause?
There's nothing on the disks that needs saving so i'm not worried about that.

What steps did you use? In partiticular, did you install the prep add-on?

Did you try a factory default from the boot menu?

Hi
Gonna see if i can find the guide i used again, but don't remember it saying anything about prep add-on.
Also tried factory reset yes but no luck.

It'd be helpful to know what you actually did. The prep add-on just avoids the need to manually do a factory default after you do the install.

A factory default is definitely needed (whether automatically done by the prep add-on or manually). You could try it again.
What do you see when you boot up the Ultra diskless?
