Seagate ST31500341AS-CC1H on ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer Edition(1YA59CRE00137)
I am running the above data storage with six drivers of Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164. But one driver broken. Can I use one Seagate ST31500341AS-CC1H to replace the broken one? Thanks, Nicho

Thanks for your explanation.
Can WD20EFRX work with ST2000DM001-1CH164? Your experience is very helpful for us.

You can mix/match disks in a ReadyNAS, and both of these are on the HCL with no limitations.
I haven't used this particular combination myself, but I have mixed Seagate and Western Digital drives on my Pro-6 and had no problems.
Gradually moving to NAS-purposed drives as the DM's fail is a reasonable strategy.
BTW, RAID isn't enough to keep data safe, and I do suggest having an up-to-date backup before manipulating disks.
If the NAS is filling up, you can expand the volume by installing larger disks - XRAID will expand, but not contract. There are some limits to growth, in your case it depends on what disks you had in place when you did the original installation.
