As of this afternoon, my livingroom smells as if I held a barbecue inside with electrical components on the grill that were left on there for far too long. Took me some time to realize this smell was coming from my Readynas, busy all day since this morning for serving an important software update through ftp towards our employees.
Even though the reported temp is 36C, I took it down and cleaned the unit as good as i could with an airduster, though apart from the fan, it wasn't all that dirty to begin with. After being on for half an hour, the smells are getting worse again.
The unit did not fail on me, I'm not having problems with the unit not booting, or rebooting by itself.
I had already applied in the past the fan reversal procedure with success, after i found the 2100rpm procedure way too noisy.
Anyway, for now I set the rpm override to 2500 just to be sure. Just hope nobody will call me on the phone, not sure i'll still hear them (c:=
I just upgraded to version R4 2 weeks ago. Is this the cause?
I suppose my PSU is dying? What can/should I do? Can I still keep it running?
